Albert Engineering Leadership Scholarships
Qualified entering freshman may apply for the Albert Engineering Leadership Scholarship and the Honors College in a combined application. The Albert Scholarship provides financial support of $20,500 per year (renewable for four years) as well as membership in the Engineering Leadership Academy, and a professional development stipend. Applicants must be incoming first-year students being considered for full-time enrollment at UNC Charlotte in a baccalaureate program offered by The William States Lees College of Engineering for the fall term immediately following high school graduation. Students who match with the requirements of the Albert Engineering Leadership Scholarship and who are interested in applying must: 1) apply to UNC Charlotte no later than November 1; and 2) apply for the Albert Engineering Leadership Scholarship through the NinerScholars Portal no later than December 1.
Qualified entering freshman may apply for the Martin Scholarship and the Honors College in a combined application. The Martin Scholarships are open to students who are Pell-eligible with zero Expected Family Contribution. Martin Scholars receive an average award of $3,000 per semester, although award amounts are evaluated on a per-semester basis and are equal to the individual student’s unmet financial need based on the cost of attendence for a semester as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. The award is renewable until the student receives their undergraduate degree. The total value of the award for a four year student is on average $35,000, incuding the stipend to study abroad. In addition to the semesterly award, Martin Scholars are eligible for a stipend valued between $3,000-$6,000 to participate in a study abroad experience or internship opportunity. Students who match with the requirements of the Martin Scholarship and who are interested in applying must: 1) apply to UNC Charlotte no later than November 1 (early action deadline) or February 1 (regular decision deadline) and 2) apply for the Martin Scholarship through the NinerScholars Portal by December 1 for priority decision or March 1 for regular decision.
